Using a Personalization element

When creating a Personalization element, you search for and select a Personalization document.

  1. Click New to create a new personalization rule or content spot.
  2. Click Search to search for and select an existing personalization rule or content spot.
    1. Select a personalization rule or content spot and then click OK.
  3. Click Edit to edit a selected personalization rule or content spot.
  4. Click Clear to remove a selected personalization rule or content spot.
  5. Enter the total number of items to display in the Results per page field.
  6. Specify the formatting options used to display the Personalization element. Enter text, tags and code into the design fields as required.
    • The text entered in the Header and Footer designs will appear before and after the displayed results.
    • The text entered into the Design for each search result field defines the format of each result.
    • The text entered into the Separator field will appear between each displayed result.
