File resource element

You can store a file, such as a PDF file, in a file resource element.

By storing a file in a file resource element:
You use file resource elements to enable users to download files. For example, You can store a PDF file as a file resource element. You can then create a link to this in a presentation template or HTML element to enable users to download the PDF file. The structure of the link is as follows:
<a href="<component name="FileResource" />">Link Text</a>

Creating a file resource element

To create a file resource element, you can either add a file resource element to an authoring template, site, site area or content item, or create a file resource component.
