IBM Feed Reader

The feed reader allows you to subscribe to and consume available feeds which you want to be displayed.

Clicking on an item in the feed will redirect you to the feed source where you can read the entire item. If there are more items than are configured to fit on one page, you will have the option to move between multiple pages or change the number of items displayed per page. You can assign one feed per component. The feed reader supports RSS versions 0.91, 0.92, 0.93, 0.94, 1.0, and 2.0 and Atom versions 0.3 and 1.0, and can read feeds from an external Internet site or a Lotus Domino, Lotus Sametime, or WebSphere Portal server.

The layout of the feed reader will be determined by the configuration set in Feed Settings. You can choose to show or hide images, authors, and dates, and the feed sidebar. The feed sidebar provides basic information about the feed as well as links to the feed and an option to refresh the feed content.

If you have Editor access, you can choose to provide either team or private credentials for the reader. Team credentials allow the users in a defined team to access protected feeds by specifying credentials. Private credentials allow the user to access protected feeds by specifying credentials. If private credentials are set for a user, they will override that user's team credentials for the feed reader.
