Searching for places content

Search for content in place components such as wikis, blogs, calendars, and libraries.

  1. Select any of the following scopes from the search menu:
    • Select Content from My Places to search places you own or are a member of.
    • Select Content from All Places to search all places.
    • Select Content from My Favorite Places to search places you marked as favorites.
    • If you are in a place, select <current place name> to search for content within that place.
  2. Type words in the search field.
  3. Click the search icon.
Results are sorted by relevance.
Change the search by selecting any of the following:
  • Select All Places to search all places.
  • Select My Places to search places you own or are a member of.
  • Select My Favorite Places to search places you marked as favorites.

Then type words in the For field and click Search again.

Filter results using the Document Type, Date, Refine Results, or Owner filters. Click the question mark icons in each filter for help.

To perform an advanced search, click in the search field, click the search icon without typing any words, and then use the advanced search filters to search. For example, in the empty results page, use the Document Type filter to search across all documents.

Note: You can search for library documents in a folder by opening the folder, clicking the arrow next to the folder, and then selecting More Actions > Search This Folder.
