Creating links to ECM documents from rich text areas

You can create links to ECM documents from the rich text areas available in IBM® Lotus® Quickr™ components, such as blogs, wikis, and comments.

To create links to ECM documents from the rich text areas:
  1. Click the Quickr Link toolbar button and select External Lotus Quickr Documents.
  2. The Server field contains the name of the last ECM server you accessed, by default. Specify the web address for a different ECM server, if required.
    Note: The server details you specify in this step should be for the server where the ECM services is installed. Contact your Administrator for details.
  3. By default, the Log in with my current credentials checkbox is selected for you to authenticate with your Lotus Quickr credentials. In case you want to specify different credentials:
    1. Uncheck the Log in with my current credentials checkbox.
    2. Specify the user name and password.
    3. Click Log In.
    The folders and documents on the selected ECM server are displayed.
  4. Navigate to the ECM document to link to.
  5. The File Download option is selected, by default. Select Summary Page to link to the summary page of the ECM document, as available from the ECM repository. If supported by the ECM repository, the summary page displays information related to the ECM document.
  6. Click Insert Link.
