Choosing a document type

Choose a document type.

The Choose Document Type window is used to select a document type. The window displays a list of available document types. You can select only one document type for a document. By default, local document types are displayed in the list. To see a list of shared document types, click Shared.

Click on a document type name to select it. To remove a selected document type, click the x next to the selected document type name.

Next to each document type name in the list are columns containing information about the document type, including workflow, draft approval and versioning settings.

If the list of document types is long and the one you are looking for is not displayed, use the Find feature to locate the document type. Click Find, then type the first letter, or two letters, of the document type name, then press Enter. Only the document type names that contain the letter, or letters, you typed are displayed.
